The progress, feeling close on these.
Watching this come to be has been (and is and will be) one of the most fascinating and beautiful experiences of this year. I naturally think in school years, although I’m quite sure I could already say the same about this 15-day-old calendar year. Kind of like Opening Day 2010, when Mark Beuhrle made that awesome play to first base and everyone knew it was going to be on highlight reels all year, and sure enough, at the end of the year, it was still one of the most exciting. I have no idea what is in store for me in the coming 351 days, but I’m sure this will stand out among them at the end.
In the midst of my Day Zero project (aka my 101 in 1001 project), a new year, a new semester, new goals, and just everything my life has been over the past few months, a lot of writing is going to come out of the next day or two. I only mention it now because this is not the last I will be writing of Jess Black today.
